Today our focus was again on rhyming and letter recognition during our Literacy Centers. The Kindergarteners played a beginning sound game, while others completed a puzzle together to match pictures with their beginning sounds. At the same time, other children worked on a rhyme and glue activity and then sorted words into their word houses. After learning yesterday that every word has a vowel, the Kindergarteners were asked to write a vowel in their name for our morning message. The children also enjoyed our Math Stations which centered around careful counting and matching an array of dots with the correct number of cubes. We ended our day with Learning Centers- the children "complained" that the day was over too soon!
