Wow! Our day flew by today..
We started our day reading another book in the "Mr." series reading Mr. Happy. These books are fabulous because they are helping the students in our class make predictions, use the illustrations to figure out unknown words and laugh as we read them! If you have any books from the Mr. or Mrs. series and would like to share them, we would love to read them!
We also started new Literacy Centers which focused on syllable sorting, ending sounds, and our new sight word IS. We completed 2 rotations and will continue these tomorrow.
During math, we completed our math centers which we started yesterday. We also introduced the song " Numbers in the Teens, they start with one" to reinforce the writing of teen numbers.
We ended our day with Learning Centers- the Kindergarteners have been very interested in making "rainbow loom bracelets", so we worked on making these without a loom and with our fingers. The children really enjoyed this and it was also great for our fine motor skills!
We also filled our first bucket today!! We brainstormed as a class ideas for our party. BASED ON THE SUGGESTIONS, WE HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE A PAJAMA PARTY ON FRIDAY- KINDERGARTENERS MAY WEAR THEIR PJ'S TO SCHOOL (of course, this is completely optional). I will send out more information tomorrow about this celebration.
