We started our morning with a fabulous musical presentation from Manguito, who led the students on a musical journey to the Caribbean. The Kindergarteners enjoyed dancing along to the music and had an opportunity to see different types of musical instruments.
We had a lot of shares today, so the children did a great job listening and then asking questions in an expected way. They continued to enjoy Learning Centers where some made catapaults, some played Chutes and Ladders, and others played "teacher" and used the pocket chart to sort words by beginning sounds.
During math today, we continued to work on comparing. The Kindergarteners first used strip of paper to see whose strip was equal to, longer than, or shorter than theirs. We then compared the length of our names and recorded the information on a recording sheet.
