We learned the poem "Albuqurque Turkey" as we start thinking more and more about Thanksgiving. The children enjoyed circling the sight words that they recognized and completing the dot to dot on the back of the poem. We then sat around "fire" and sang many of our songs together.
We completed our scarecrows this morning, continuing to work together to decorate our works of art. The Kindergarteners were also asked to compare the amount of crows on each shoulder of the scarecrow and even to name their scarecrow!
During math this afternoon, we made turkeys with featehrs that each had 10 dots! The Kindergarteners were asked to think of 5 different combinations to 10 and to show that and to write the corresponding numbers in a "part, part, whole" format.
