We started our morning by meeting with Ms. Pirelli and Mr. Jones. They talked to both Kindergarten classes about the ALICE drill we will be participating in tomorrow. Mr. Jones defined the word "intruder" as a stranger and shared that during ALICE, we leave the building and run. The Kindergarteners seem to understand what is expected and there weren't any questions either during the presentation or later in the day. Please let me know if anything comes up at home.
We also had math choice today. I enjoyed playing Uno with a group of children, while others worked with Ms. Dennehy on silohuette art. Some Kindergarteners chose to build with magna tiles or straws, while others "spilled the beans" or worked in their math folder. Ask your child what he/she did during this time.
