The Kindergarteners were so excited to wear their pajamas to school and we reviewed how they filled our class bucket in order to have this special day today! We have already started working towards our next party :-)
We also attended School Meeting today where we learned about the Marisa Tufaro Fund about which your child received a bracelet . This fund was created to provide gift cards for families visiting Children's Hospital. We also saw a PRIDE skit about the proper way to enter the school in the morning.
During poetry, we learned the "Standing in Line" poem and drew pictures for some of the words in the poem to make it easier for us to read the poem. We then sat around the fire and sang this poem as well as some of our other favorites.
We read Veteran's Day, a non-fiction book to teach us about why we don't have school tomorrow. Some of the key words were: soldier, veteran, and gratitude.
Math time was spent in the computer lab using Symphony Math. As I've explained in previous posts, the children work independently during this time based on the skills where they need support. Ms. Dennehy and I monitor, assist, and have discussions with the students based on the problems that they are solving.
