Today was a very busy day! We started with school meeting and a 4th/5th grade chorus concert. The Kindergarteners were mezmerized as they watched their schoolmates singing. I have a feeling some may come talking about wanting to join the chorus!
After a phonics lesson where we reviewed our plane line letters, we had a Kindergarten game of dodgeball. The whole school earned a "dodgeball tournament" from earning 1,000 PRIDE tickets. It was a lot of fun watching the smile and laugh as they had fun playing against each other.
We spent math time in the computer lab working on Symphony Math. The number line continues to be a good tool that children are learning how to use effectively to create simple math equations. We reviewed the ways a number line can be helpful and how to use it to answer and solve math questions. We also looked at equations and how they can be written forward and backwards.
