Today we learned more about Superflex with Ms. Pirelli. She emphasized that we all have our own Superflex and the children had a chance to illustrate what their SuperFlex Superhero looks like. We will be sending these illustrations home in their folders today or tomorrow.
We also learned a new poem today which reviewed reading the color words. We encouraged the Kindergarterns to use their "table name plates" to read each color word. Everyone did a great job using the tools in the classroom to succesfully color their poem.
We ended our day with math stations. The Kindergarteners worked hard to decompose numbers with me. They also shared number stories with a partner and "acted" them out using a story board. We also continued to focus on correctly writing the numbers 1, 2, and 3 and I explained why many of them write these numbers backwards (they are starting in the wrong corner....). Next week, we will focus on numbers 4, 5, and 6.
