Happy Groundhog Day! We celebrated by learning a new Groundhog poem and making a special groundhog craft. Ask your child if he/she remembers if Puxtanoy Phil saw his shadow or not!
We also started reading Your Fantastic Elastic Brain and learned all the amazing things that our brain can do. The Kindergarteners were fascintated by all the different parts of the brain. We will continue this discussion and will lead it into our smarts and how we "grow our smarts".
We ended our day with math choice. The Kindergarteners had a chance to catch up on work they had not finished (specifically, their number writing packet), play Uno, and build a variey of different items. They also could complete a dice and roll actiivty which focused on one less. Ask your child what activity he/she chose to do during this time.
