It was another busy day in room 1 today! The Kindergarteners enjoyed our new Cat in The Hat poem and worked hard to sort words by their ending sounds of either "at" or "an". During Reader's Workshop, many worked on their reader's notebook and wrote about the characters in the books that they are reading.
During math today, the children created Trufella-Ten Trees, based on the Dr. Seuss book, The Lorax. After brainstorming "parts" to create the "whole" 10, the children created number sentences (both addition and subtraction" to complete their Truffela Trees.
