The Kindergarteners had another fabulous day! Donny's mom and brother joined the class as Star Readers and read a Dr. Seuss book to the class. Thank you for spending part of your day with us! The children then wrote a page for Donny, sharing what they have learned about his this week. They also had a chance to draw Donny, based on Ms Dennehy's modeling of how best to draw our Star of The Week.
The class spent time in the computer lab during math and worked on problems on Symphony Math. Before doing so, Ms. Dennehy reviewed specific examples of problems on which some children have been struggling. Kindergarteners volunteered to share and talk about their strategies for how to solve each problem that was presented. These strategies included using the number line, thinking about what numbers come before a specific number and explaining their thinking.
