We started our morning by learning one of my favorite songs during Poetry! It's called the Shape Song Swing Along Song by Steve Songs. The kIndergarteners loved the tune and noticing all the things that could be made out of shapes. We used our knowledge of sight words to read the words to this song. As always, we sat around our "fireplace" and sang together.
During math we used the same song and had the chance to create shape collages. The children truly amazed us with their creativity! They made things such as lions, ferris wheels, trains, and people using the shapes provided. We will be displaying these outside our classroom for you all to see!
