Wow! What a busy day! Because we didn't have art on Tuesday due to the PARCC testing schedule, we had both art and music today.
We also had another Star Reader for Annabel's Star of The Week week. Annabel's mom, Amy Stagg, joined us and read the book Dragons Love Tacoa. The children loved hearing this story and laughed a lot during this time!
During Writer's Workshop today , we first read the book What Do You Do With An Idea? This book helped the Kindergarteners understand that all ideas are good and become better and better as we think about them. We then used our positive energy to continue writing our personal narratives, letters, lists, and how-to books.
We completed our math stations today. Next week, the game that was introduced at the Lesson Station ("Build a Floor) will be at the game center ! Our morning message also reviewed the different combinations to 6. We will move on to combinations to 7 next week.
We ended our day with Abby's mom, Bethany, being our Mystery Reader. We then had a chance to play a game called "Matire D"- ask your child what we did:-)
