The children continued writing their math word problems this morning and did a great job thinking of .a story, describing the situation, and then creating a number sentence to go with their story. We look forward to solving these stories tomorrow during our math time!
Ms. Pirelli joined us and read the book The Lemonade Hurricane. This book introduced the act of meditating as a way to calm our bodies and refocus. Kindergarteners shared that their calm place that they think about during this time are places such as the beach, New Orleans (!!), and a ski mountain.
We continued our math stations this afternoon- children should now be able to identify and describe the following 2 dimentional shapes: circle, oval, hexagon, square, rectangle, triangle and rhombus. Next week we will start talking about 3 dimentional solids.
