The Kindergarteners were so excited to watch a video of Louis Armstrong while we put the song "What a Wonderful World" in our poetry folders. The Kindergartners were also so amazed at the amount of sight words that they could read in this song! We then asked the children to color a picture of the world, noticing how much of our world is made of water.
We spend a lot of our morning working on our art project for school meeting- the children took such pride to plan and create their paintings. We look forward to sharing these with you- either at school meeting next week or at our end of the year Open House.
During math today, the children finished working on their addition and subtraction people, as they thought about equations that equal 5, 6, or 7. These plus and minus persons are displayed right outside our classroom- come by and check them out!
We finished our day with Abby's mom, Bethany, joining us as our Mystery Reader. She read Don't Push the Button and Sylvia- thank you for spending part of your day with us. :-)
