The class was so excited to write our first letters to our Kindergarten pen pals at the Upham School in Wellesley! Mrs. Bergeron, a Loker mom, is a Kindergarten teacher at this school. Our plan is to have the children write to each other 2 or 3 times. Then, we will be planning a trip to visit and meet our pen pals! I am so excited to give our Kindergartners this opportunity and to let them have this "real experience" of writing!
We also had School Meeting today where we heard the 4th Graders sing about the "Fifty Nifty United States of America" and watched a Team Pride skit about fairness on the playground. After School Meeting, Brian's mom and dad joined us as his Star Readers. Thank you for spending part of your morning with us!
Math was spent in the computer lab as we continued to work on Symphony Math. As always, we started by looking at specific problems that are presented on this program, and talked through how to solve each one. We ended our time in the computer lab with free choice on the Loker website as a reward for expected behavior.
