Today Ms. Pirelli joined us and read the book No Fitts Nelson. As she read, she stopped to introduce Glassman. Glassman is an unthinkable who makes people have big reactions to small problems. Ms. Pirelli, Ms. Dennehy, and I role played a few situations (finding a seat at lunch and making choices during Learning Centers) to demonstrate the way that Superflex can help us defeat Glass Man and Rock Brain, who often work together.
We also learned a new song to help us spell the word "May". On the back of the poem, the Kindergarteners had a chance to trace and write the dates for the month of May.
We ended the day with Math Choice. Many chose to build and create during this time with Magnatiles, Legos, Blocks, or K-Nex. Others chose to also use two big dice to create 2 digit numbers. They then had to find the number on the 100's chart.
