During Open Circle, we started to look back at the many pictures that have been taken of our class this year. It was fun to reminisce and remember things such as coloring in our names at the beginning of the year to playing on the playground the first day of school. Talking about the year and noticing the changes is a very healthy and comfortable to wind down our year together.
During poetry, we learned a new song about eating ice cream and the children were challenged to write down the names of 5 ice cream flavors!! We then sat "at the beach" and sang and read many of our songs and poems.
We continued to play games duirng math- Jenga and Sum Swamp are quickly becoming class favorites. We are really seeing the growth that the class has made at being a good sport during these games.
We ended our day with our buddies, playing outside. The Third Graders helped the Kindergarteners to play Four Square and some also played kickball. We look forward to these relationships continuing even as the children go into different classes.
