Our morning message this morning asked "How many pockets are you wearing?".  I didn't plan for it to be a colder morning where many children were wearing pants, but it worked out well because there were many pockets to count!

After morning meeting, the KIndergarteners put a new poem entitled "Bucket Filling" in their poetry folders and we sat by the "fire" (provided by youtube) and read the 2 poems we have so far in our poetry folder. Choral reading is reinforced during this time and we are also practicing pointing to words that look familiar.

We also had Learning Centers this morning where we added "Listening Center" and "K-Nex" to the choices that the children could make. Ask your child what choice he/she made during this time.

We ended our day by celebrating our 10th day of school! After reading Ten Black Dots by Donald Crews, the Kindergartners used 10 black dots to make a design or a picture. We will plan to display these outside our classroom for all to see!
