Today, Trevor, our Star of the Week, shared clues about the 3 items in his mystery bag. All items started with T- (tool belt, truck, and train) which also served as a great review of the letter T.
During phonics, we turned over the letter N- Noisy Nose and brainstormed words that start with the letter "N". We also blended the onset of "N" with different rhimes (word endings) to create new words. During Literacy Centers, we focused on the sound of the letter "H" and also wrote about our favorite Mr/Mrs. Book. We look forward to sharing these with you!
During math, we continued our math stations where some children worked independently on a greater than/less than sheet. We also continued to play Top It with ten-frame cards, while others played Stack to compare different amounts of unifix cubes.
We ended our day with Learning Centers. We started a Thanksgiving Project which we will continue over the next week. Children also continued to paint at the easel, build with legos, and make independent choices. It was a fabulouls way to end the day!
