This morning during Open Circle, we practiced our new Line Order. Line order, as I explained to the children, will help each child know where to stand in line and prevent arguments between children about being first, last, etc. The Kindergarteners were very excited to practice and were happy with this new class routine.
During Writer's Workshop, we wrote "get well" cards to one of our classmates. It was a perfect opportunity to review ways of being a bucket filler. The children had fun using stickers, writing messages, and sending their love.
We completed our math stations this afternoon as we continued to think about comparing numbers and how to "count on". While we will continue to review this concept in many areas of our day, our focus for the remainder of the month will be on measurement.
Sylvia, our Star of The Week, shared her clues with us. All her mystery items started with the word "S"- her clues were terrific.:-)
We ended our day with Milo's dad joining us as Mystery Reader. Thank you for spending time with us this afternoon!
