Today we started thinking about the New Year and what we are looking forward to in 2019. After reading Twas The Night Before New Years, the Kindergarteners wrote their New Year's resolutions. These are displayed on our writing board.
During Open Circle, we talked about being a Positive Leader. We spoke about how a positive leader sets a good sample and helps others have good thoughts about the whole group.
During math, we started new math stations. Children worked with me to compare inventory bags, while others explored a pan balance, figuring out what items were heavier or lighter. Others explored line puzzles, reviewing the "<" and ">" symbols, while another group walked around the room using their body to measure items in our classroom.
We also had fun guessing Serena's clues for her Star of The Week. Her items included the princess doll Sophia, sugar, and a stuffed animal.
