The Kindergarteners started their day by independently sorting words by their ending sounds. We will reinforce this activity tomorrow during Literacy Centers.

The class enjoyed guessing Mateo's clues! Thank you, Mateo, for bringing in 3 items that began with the letter "M".

The children continued working in partners to create their artisitic depiction for the Eric Carle book Papa Get The Moon For Me.  The students were asked to make a ladder out of toothpicks and popsicle sticks and to work together. The children were very sucessful- we can't wait for you to see their beautiful art work!

During math, Ms. Dennehy led a discussion about the tricky teen numbers and introduced the concept of a teen number being "10 and some more". The children worked in partners (yet again- are you sensing a theme :-)  ), to represent teen numbers. They were then asked to do movement activities according to the teen number that was picked from a pile of teen numbers. You can reinforce this activity at home by writing a teen number/having your child write a teen number and then doing an action to represent the number chosen.
