Today we went to see the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade strings and band students perform in their winter concert. We reviewed the names of the different instruments that were being played. The Kindergarteners seemed very inspired to play these instruments and are looking forward to performing when they get bigger!
We also guessed Tanner's clues today for his Star of The Week mystery bag. By using his hints, we figured out that Tanner had a truck, turtle, and tiger.
During Fundations, we continued learning the difference between a sentence and a question. The children came up to the board, listened to a sentence, picked the correct sentence frames (capital letter vs. non-capital) and created sentences. We will also reinforce this concept in our everyday writing.
We continued our math station which we started yesterday. Comparing is getting a bit easier for many, but "how many less" can be a challenge for many. Thank you to Sam's mom for joining us today at the game station.
We finished our day with Penny's mom joining us as our Mystery Reader. She read the book The Day The Crayons Came Home. Thank you for spending some of your time with us :-
