The Kindergarteners were excited to be back in our classroom today although many shared that they enjoyed our unexpected "adventure". Others did share that they felt much more comfortable being back home in our classroom.
We started to learn about Saanchi, our Star of The Week, this morning. She shared her poster as well as shared her mystery bag. Her mystery bag contained a soccer ball, sippy cup, and a straw- the class enjoyed listening to her clues and then guessing her items!
We read the book The Other Side this afternoon and then thought about our "dreams" for our world, just like MLK had a dream that he helped to make true. We discussed, as we did yesterday, how one person can make a change in the world and if there are things that seem unfair, it is okay to speak up for what you believe in.
To end our day, Sam's mom joined us as our Mystery Reader. She read the book Stellaluna and Little Elliott In The Big City . Thank you for joining us this afternoon!
