Happy Valentine's Day! The Kindergarteners were so excited to deliver their Valentine's this morning. I was so impressed with the calmness and confidence that each child showed as he/she read the names on their Valentines and then delivered them appropriately.
We started to learn about Makenna, our Star of The Week today! After sharing her poster, Makenna's special guest joined us to read The Biggest Snowman Ever and Chester's Way. We look forward to guessing Makenna's special clues tomorrow!
We wrote in our journals today and many children enjoyed sharing about playing the snow. As a class, we sounded out the word snow, as well as words such as "shovel", "throw", "jump" and "play". These are all pretty tricky, and it was a good opportunity to remind our students about "best guess spelling".
We ended our day outside- thank you to everyone for packing all the gear necessary for fun outside! Our class had a blast :-)
