The Kindergarteners enjoyed guessing Harper's clues which all started with the letter "H". Harper brought in a horse, a heart, and a hat! Thank you, Harper!
During Open Circle we discussed the Golden Rule- treat others the way you want to be treated. We then role played situations where we had to apply this rule. We acted out scenes from the classroom as well as recess scenes.
We started new math stations today! Our focus is now on shapes. Children worked with me to distinguish and describe a rectangle and a triangle. We used words such as straight, angles, equal and parallel to describe there shapes. Other children continued to review subtraction, number sentences, and using ten frames at the "Review Station" while others sorted shapes by curves and no curves. It was a combination of review and new concepts being learned at the same time!
We ended our day with Bradley's mom joining us as our Mystery Reader. Thank you for spending part of your day with us! :-)
