During Open Circle, we reviewed the meaning of PRIDE, which are the Loker core values. We reviewed and discussed the meaning of the words "personal best", "respect", "integrity", "determination", and "enthusiasm".
During Fundations, we created words where children came up to help me spell! The children held the letter cards in their hands and enjoyed the anticipation of figuring out when to use their letters! We then had a dictation to practice nonsense words as well as real words.
We finished our math stations today- the children are now familiar with rectangles and triangles and know the language of "curves", "straight lines", "angles" , and "corners" . Tomorrow, we will focus on using one shape to create a bigger picture.
