Today we introduced the sound of the vowel U- pulling tugboat. We then sounded out and spelled simple CVC words which had short U in the middle. We will continue to focus on middle vowel sounds during Reading Shuffle and Phonics in the classroom.
Eli had a chance to share his clues today! It was a great opportunity to talk about long and short sounds of the letter E.
We started new math stations today. The children loved playing the game "Trade-A- Block" were the children roll a dice and trade in their triangles for trapezoids, rhobuses, and hexagons! Some children even chose to play during Learning Centers today.
