Today we made a map of our hearts and wrote down things that are special and important to us. We will use these maps of our heart to begin writing stories for Writer' s Workshop. The children brainstormed what they are excited to "tell stories about"- we will begin writing these stories in the next few days!
During phonics, we reviewed the difference between syllables and sounds and practiced segmenting words in a syllable. I hope that this will help the Kindergarteners with their writing and help them to sound out their words.
