The Kindergarteners were so excited to share about their first "official" Snow Day and to write about it in their journals....We reviewed some of our trick words, especially "with" and "is" before writing to help the Kindergarteners spell these words successfully.
We started to learn about Max, our Star of The Week, today. Max did a fabulous job sharing his poster and the children added to their mind files about Max. He also shared his 3 Mystery Items- monster truck, mask, and motorcycle and gave wonderful hints to help the Kindergarteners guess his items.
We also started new Math Stations this afternoon, focusing on teen numbers and creating math equations. The Kindergartners also enjoyed explored and completed a 100's tile board to reinforce numeral sequence and recognizing the difference between such numbers as "21" and 12", "51" and "15", etc.
Jemima's mom joined us as our Mystery Reader to end our day. Thank you for spending some of your time with us! :-)
