Today we guessed Henry's clues for his Star of The Week Mystery Bag. All items started with the letter H- the were a hat, helicopter, and a house! Thank you for the fabulous clues, Henry!
We also introduced the new sight words we will be focusing on in the next month: his, as, has, and was. We will put these words on the writing caddies, as well as practice them during our Fundations time. Feel free to practice with your children at home either by pointing them out in books that you read, writing them with shaving cream, or singing songs to help remember their spelling.
We began new math stations today! We played addition top which was introduced yesterday and the game "Snap It" which creates math equations to 10. With me, the Kindergarteners worked on addition grab bag with a missing "addend". This was a tricky concept, and we will continue to work on this.
After choice time, we ended our day with Ms. Kaplan being our Mystery Reader. She read the book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day. Thank you for visiting our class, Ms. Kaplan!
