Another rainy day, but another fabulous day in Room 1 ! :-)
We started our day with art and then figuring out Blake's clues for his Star of The Week. During Writer's Workshop, the children were excited to see our new organized writing drawers and to continue their writing. Before writing, we reviewed our sight words and the importance of writing the words with the beginning and ending sounds so it is easier to read back to yourself or to a grownup.
During math today, the class made birds, eggs, and nests and created number problems with their creations. The Kindergarteners enjoyed this activity and we look forward to hanging up their math stories soon!
We ended the day with Learning Centers. The Kindergarteners had fun playing with play-do, imagining with ponies, and creating different things in the Creativity Center. Some children also enjoyed playing with the boxcars in the Block Center.
