During Open Circle today, we talked about what it means to "fit in" and that we all "fit in" in different ways. Some children shared that at recess, if a preferred friend is unavailable, they feel at a loss as to what to do. We did a "stand up, sit down" activity so children could see what they have in common with others and ways to connect. We will continue this conversation tomorrow!
We received letters from our Pen Pals! The Kindergarteners loved opening their letters and wrote back very excitedly. We will decorate our envelopes tomorrow morning and then send our letters.
We started new math stations this afternoon. The children learned how to play "Quirkle" , while others played "Subtraction Bump" which we introduced yesterday. Children also worked with me to create combinations of 6, 8, and 10 playing "Spill The Beans".
