We started our day by sorting words by their beginning "l" blend. This is a concept that I am casually introducing for those children who are ready to hear blends- it will be covered more intensely in First Grade. We used this sort during Fundations where the Kindergarteners wrote at least 3 words which had a blend, a vowel, and then a consonant.

We also continued our letters that we wrote a few weeks ago. I will be sending them home- please help your child to deliver/mail them to the person to whom they're addressed. Thank you , in advance, for your help!

Andrew brought in his mystery bag and the class had a chance to guess his 3 items based on his clues- he brought in an ambulance, an astronaut, and an airplane.

We finished the math stations which we started yesterday.  Writing equations in multiple ways is a focus for us at this time of the year and we are also starting to identify the parts of our equation using the words "sum" and "addends".

Renzo's grandparents joined us at the end of the day as our Mystery Readers!! Thank you for spending part of your day with us :-)
