Today we started the day by reviewing our classroom rules and choosing one rule to focus on. The class ended up having a fabulous day and getting a lot of work done!
We introduced a new checklist that the KIndergarteners can use to make sure that their Writer's Workshop stories are complete. The checklist has 3 items: to check that every word has a vowel, to check that there is a feelling word including in their writing , and that there are spaces between words. We will add to this checklist as the children get used to using this tool.
We also completed our math stations today. The Kindergarteners are now more capable or representing number fact in all differeent ways. We also continued to cous on making combinations to 10. We will play a game called "Make a Floor" tomorrow.
We ended the day with Learning Centers. The room was abuzz with building sounds, scissors snipping and laughter!
