Amelia brought in some fabulous items for the letter "A"- most admired was the amethyst that she showed the class. Thank you for your terrific clues, Amelia!
The children were so engaged with writing today, that we extended Writer's Workshop to about 40 minutes! They are now able to chose what they would like to write- a story, letter, or a list. Some children have letters that are in their folders that are ready to be delivered :-)
We started new math stations today. We worked on "how do you show that one is missing?" as we think about word problems. This was quite challenging! Others practiced number writing on "Letter School" while others played Bump one more time! We also had a review station where chidlren identified numbers by a bundle of 10 and some more.
We ended the day with Choice Time. Ask your child what he/she did during this time :-)
