We started the day with a compliment circle where children received the name of a classmate and were asked to give that person a compliment. As this is the second time we have done this, the compliments felt even more heart-felt than the last time...I told the class that we would do this "share" again, so to be on the lookout to be thinking about their classmates!
We had the privilege of seeing the Fifth Grade play today called "Music Through the Decades". The KIndergarteners had the chance to hear the songs of artists such as The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, and even Adele! The children were a fabulous audience and were all clapping and rocking to the music.
We completed our math stations this afternoon- the Kindergarteners are doing a fabulous job defining mathametical terms such as "addend", "sum", and "difference" and proving their answers with unifix cubes and/or explaining their thinking.
