All the Kindergarteners seemed very excited to be back in school and to share about their long weekends. They all did a great job writing and drawing about what they did in their weekend journals. All reached our goal of writing at least 3 sentences in their journal! We look forward to sharing these journals with you at our Open House on June 15th from 6-7.
We also practiced with Room 2 for our school presentation tomorrow. The children sound great and are excited for their performance. The school meeting will be videoed if you are not able to join us.
During math, we started new math stations. Children worked with me and read real-life situations and were then asked to solve them in 2 different ways. There were also 3 different games going on during this time- BUMP, "Trade a Block" and "Subtraction Grab"-- all games were reviewing different concepts learned this year from addition, subtraction and shape recognition.
