The class enjoyed guessing Caleb's clues this morning- it was amazing how Caleb could fit a crocodile, cow, and candle into such a little bag! Thank you for making such great clues, Caleb ! :-)
We also continued with our Writer's Workshop stories today. We focused on periods today and read Cameran's story, deciding where to put a period. This is a very tricky concept- we will also point out periods as we read books to show that a period comes at the end of a sentence which is a complete thought.
We introduced 2 new sight words today- your and did and reviwed our other sight words. The children are so excited to read and to see all these words that they can read automatically.
We also finished our math stations for the week- the Kindergartners really enjoyed doing "mental math" and figuring out equations in their heads. We also did alot of practice with our number writing- we focused a lot on 4, 5, and 6 which continue to be tricky for many.
