The class was very excited to receive letters from their Wellesley pen pals today! They wrote back with a lot of excitement, especially knowing that we are going to see them on June 18th!
During Open Circle today we talked about the feelings that we are having at this time of the year. Some children shared that they feel sad, others feel excited, and some are quite mixed. I shared my feeling of uncertainty and feeling very mixed. We talked about Move Along Day (June 21st) and how that will help with many of their questions.
We completed our math stations this afternoon. The Kindergarteners really liked using the pattern blocks to create new shapes and loved the challenge of making a shape off of the mat. "Make 5 Bingo" was also a success, as was listening to a story and then writing an equation.
