The Kindergarteners did a fabulous job performing at school meeting today- they were all smiles as they sang and showed hand motions for the song "You've Got a Friend In Me" while their art work was shown in a slide show. We continued with our Writer's Workshop stories this morning, continuing to focus on medial vowels and breaking words into syllables to help us hear all the sounds. The Kindergarteners also enjoyed hearing their friends' finished stories and asking questions or giving compliments.
We finished our math stations for the week. Thank you to Colby's mom, Andrea, for joining us and helping the children play "Make 5 Memory Game". Next week, we will continue to review many of the game played this year. It is so wonderful to see the comfort in each child's face as he she realizes all that he/she can now do and all that they are able to understand about math and explaining their thinking.
