Another day, another baby turtle! The Kindergarteners continued to be very excited to see baby turtles in our sandbox.  The children have been very understanding as to why we cannot use the sandbox as the baby turtles are (hopefully) making their way to the stream in the woods.

We continued working on our "All About Me" book, thinking about our favorite foods. We used this lesson as another opportunity to review how to properly use the markers, crayons, and supply caddy in the middle of the tables.

During math, the KIndergarteners played the game Cover Up where they rolled  dice, counted the pips on the dice, and then marked the correct spot on their game board. Before the children played the game in pairs, we also modeled and reviewed turn taking, saying "aw shucks!" if a game doesn't go the way you may have hoped, and working as a helping partner.

* I apologize that there aren't any pictures on today's blog. The computer was not cooperating!! :-(
