It was so wonderful to see so many of you at our Open House today. Thank you for supporting your child as they grew so much. Thank you, also, for the beautiful presents- the bonsai tree will be a constant reminder of this class! I also look forward to relaxing with a cup of coffee and a manicure/pedicure in the near future! :-)
We had a busy rest of the day! I reviewed our reading strategies of Eagle Eye, Lips the Fish, and Chunky Monkey during Reader's Workshop. The children also worked hard during their dictation to change words to create new sentences.
We completed our math stations this afternoon. We are continuing to think about word problems, different ways to represent addition and subtraction problems and to explain our thinking.
We also had 2 Mystery Readers today! Ms. Richlen's fiancé joined us this morning. Ms. Pimentel, a First Grade teacher, also came in this afternoon.
