During math today, we talked about the different temperature zones ranging from "red" to "purple" (we follow the colors of the rainbow). We looked at a thermometer and discussed the fact that the higher the number, the warmer the temperature. The Kindergarteners then colored in their own thermometers and put the appropriate clothing next to the correct zone/color. Look for these to come home soon!
As we finished up our Literacy Centers today, we also introduced a new sight word- ME. Your child should now recognize the words I, the, and me.
To start our day, the children had the chance to choose a step by step drawing to complete. They could choose to draw a turtle, a truck, a house, or a school. We were so impressed by the children's ability to follow directions- they were very proud of their work!
The class also had P.E. today! During this time, they played "Oscar's Garbage Can"- ask your child to describe the game to you! :-)
