We attended School Meeting this mornig where Mr. Jones talked to the whole school about leadership and the importance of positive leaders. In a few weeks, we will have the opprotunity to pick a leader who is importnat to our class and Bren Bataclan, an artist who has been at Loker before, will be creating murals with the children based on the leaders that we chose.
Matthew's grandmother, Mimi, also joined us this morning as as our Star Reader. She read Make Way For Ducklings,which happens to be one of our favorite books!
We ended the day with an art project related to The Grouchy Ladybug that we read yesterday. The KIndergarteners made ladybugs and put some black dots on either side of the ladybug's spine. They then created an addition equation based on their work. We will be displaying these in the classroom soon!
