This morning we continued our Literacy Centers- the Kindergarteners also enjoyed listening to the book Mr. Messy and enjoyed how he got help to clean up his house from Mr. Neat and Mr. Tidy. As our author study of these books come to an end, I highly recommend this series of books as a great way to talk about feelings, personalities, and personal character!
During math today, the children worked in partners to make scarecrows that had birds on their shoulders. They were asked to plan, trace, cut, and glue as a team! We modeled the expected behavior for partner work, and everyone did a fabulous job working together. We will continue this work tomorrow and the Kindergarteners will have a chance to compare which shoulder holds more crows!
We also had Mrs Thompson, Trevor's mom, join as our our Star Reader this morning as part of Trevor's Star of The Week. Thank you, Allison, for spending part of your morning with us!
