Happy Thanksgiving! Today the Kindergarteners enjoyed our whole school assembly where we saw a PRIDE skit, performed the Turkey Boogie and watched the other classes perform! The children in our class were a fabulous audience as well as performers.
We also read So Thankful by Mercer Mayer which tells the story of being thankful for what we have and not for what we wish we have! I felt this was a good message as we celebrate Thanksgiving and the other holidays that are coming soon.
Our day ended with choice time where the children enjoyed being together and making their own choices. These included using legos, playing in Housekeeping, playing Chutes and Ladders, and building with blocks.
