Today we were treated to a fabulous dance performance brought to us by the PTO. Urbanity Dance is a foursome of dancers who taught us about ballet, jazz, hip-hop and modern dance. The Kindergarteners enjoyed watching as well as participating in this program this morning.
During Fundations, we continued to think about sentences and planning when a word should have a capital or a lower case letter. The children also thought about ending punctuation marks of a period or a question mark. We ended our time by writing CVC words on our white boards as we thought about specific letter formation.
We ended our day with math, playing a partner game called "Mooving Along". Each pair took turns picking a number, making a tower, and recording the number. They were then asked to write one number less and one number more. This activity helped the Kindergarteners practice their number writing as well as number sequencing.
