This morning we were lucky enough to have 2 Star Readers to help us celebrate Sophie's Star of The Week week. Her brother, Ethan, and her mom joined us to read Mr. Grumpy and The Book With No Words. Thank you for spending part of your morning with us!
We also introduced a new sight word -see this morning. The Kindergarteners enjoyed reading the book I See and many have chosen to bring it home to read it to you! As they are reading the book to you, please encourage them to point to each word. We also discussed looking at the pictures to figure out an unknown word.
During math this afternoon, the children had fun finding things in our classroom which were shorter, longer or the same height as they are. Using a piece of string, the Kindergartners measured and recorded items in the classroom. It was a boisterous and hands-on activity which created some great energy in our classroom! :-)
